OUR PROJECTS
Real Estate Office Renovation in Heraklion
About the project
The project concerns the renovation of a professional office space in Heraklion, Crete, designed for use as a real estate office. The architectural proposal places emphasis on contemporary aesthetics, functional planning, and the creation of a flexible workplace that supports both collaboration and privacy. The design seeks to express a unified office identity while accommodating the practical needs of meetings, management, and client interaction.
The Challenge
The main challenge of the project was to reconcile two different modes of operation within the same interior. On one hand, the owner wanted the office to function as a more unified working environment, allowing closer contact and collaboration with colleagues. On the other hand, the space still needed to provide privacy whenever required, especially in the director’s office and meeting area.
The design response, therefore, had to balance transparency, connection, and flexibility.

Our Approach
Open-plan workspace with clear organisation
The main office area was designed as a unified workspace with three desks arranged to support both individual productivity and everyday collaboration. The reception is positioned as a focal point at the entrance, strengthening the office’s brand identity while organising visitor flow from the very first moment of arrival.
Director’s office with flexibility and privacy
The director’s office was conceived as part of the wider office environment rather than as a fully detached room. A door combined with a fixed glass partition allows visual continuity and natural light to move through the space. When greater privacy is needed, sliding patterned screening elements can be used to transform the room instantly and provide a more controlled setting for meetings or focused work.
Material palette and spatial identity
The interior expression is based on the contrast between dark surfaces and timber details. Black and charcoal finishes introduce a strong contemporary character and a sense of professionalism, while the timber elements soften the composition and bring warmth to the workplace. This material balance creates a timeless office identity that feels both elegant and approachable.
Concealed systems and visual clarity
Particular emphasis was placed on the integration of concealed air-conditioning systems within the interior design. This decision helps maintain clean lines and uninterrupted surfaces, allowing the architectural composition to remain visually disciplined and uncluttered.

The Result
The project shapes a contemporary workplace tailored to the everyday needs of a dynamic real estate business. The final composition balances open collaboration with controlled privacy while reinforcing the sense of organisation, trust, and professionalism essential in the property sector.
