Challenge<\/h3><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-1\"><p data-start=\"782\" data-end=\"977\">The complex required a complete functional and aesthetic upgrade without new construction, preserving both its authentic architectural character and its relationship with the natural environment.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"979\" data-end=\"1018\">At the same time, the owners sought to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1021\" data-end=\"1085\">enhance commercial value through an improved guest experience,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1088\" data-end=\"1153\">introduce accessibility solutions for people with disabilities,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1156\" data-end=\"1226\">upgrade the building\u2019s energy efficiency and mechanical systems, and<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1229\" data-end=\"1300\">unify the hotel\u2019s identity through a coherent redesign of the exterior.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1302\" data-end=\"1458\">The challenge was to achieve all of this through an architecture that \u201cspeaks the language\u201d of the place, maintaining the accommodation\u2019s authentic essence.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-image-element \" Approach<\/h3><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\"><h3 data-start=\"1477\" data-end=\"1518\">Fa\u00e7ade Redesign &amp; Building Envelope<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1519\" data-end=\"1680\">The renovation of the fa\u00e7ades was a central part of the study. We worked with warm, natural tones within the thermal fa\u00e7ade system and reshaped the volumes with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1683\" data-end=\"1696\">new pergolas,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1699\" data-end=\"1721\">glass railing systems,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1724\" data-end=\"1740\">larger openings,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1743\" data-end=\"1794\">wooden and metal decorative beams on the balconies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1796\" data-end=\"1899\">The new composition creates clearer geometry and a modern identity, while enhancing privacy for guests.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1901\" data-end=\"1927\">Interior Room Design<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1928\" data-end=\"2173\">The rooms were redesigned with a strong emphasis on functionality and spatial ergonomics. The material palette is grounded in <strong data-start=\"2054\" data-end=\"2062\">wood<\/strong>, used extensively in wardrobes, cladding, and custom furniture, creating an atmosphere of warmth and calmness.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2175\" data-end=\"2325\">The main room type was reorganised to provide greater privacy for couples, while the functions of the bathroom were separated into <strong data-start=\"2306\" data-end=\"2324\">distinct areas<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"2328\" data-end=\"2371\">an open washbasin integrated into the room,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2374\" data-end=\"2421\">an independent shower space with soft lighting,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2424\" data-end=\"2438\">a separate WC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2440\" data-end=\"2471\">This layout is complemented by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"2474\" data-end=\"2489\">open wardrobes,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2492\" data-end=\"2510\">a built-in vanity,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2513\" data-end=\"2572\">a centrally positioned bed that organises the spatial flow.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2574\" data-end=\"2685\">The result is a minimal, natural, and comfortable environment designed to appeal to a wide range of travellers.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2687\" data-end=\"2727\">Renovation of Common Outdoor Areas<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2728\" data-end=\"2844\">The exterior shared spaces were redesigned to create a more pleasant and functional environment. The study includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"2847\" data-end=\"2868\">new planting schemes,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2871\" data-end=\"2894\">upgraded seating areas,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2897\" data-end=\"2927\">redesigned circulation routes,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2930\" data-end=\"2964\">improved low-consumption lighting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2966\" data-end=\"3059\">The design approach emphasises respect for the landscape and sustainable resource management.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"3061\" data-end=\"3109\">Accessibility for People with Disabilities<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"3110\" data-end=\"3304\">Existing rooms were adapted to meet accessibility standards for guests with disabilities.
