Architectural Design of a Villas Complex in Fodele
On inclined ground, we created four residences – villas with a view of the sea from the front and the characteristic mountain to the back. The solid volumes combined with the wooden pergolas create the final building. Each residence has a different earth tone colour, to stand out. Each building rises one and a half meter above the next, to properly adapt to the inclined terrain of the plot and not lose its view of the sea and the horizon.
All villas have 4 bedrooms with two bathrooms and each villa is 150sq. The living areas, dining room and living room, are on the middle level of the building and the rooms, the master bedroom which has the best view and one more bedroom are on the upper level. Each floor is designed to have an unobstructed view of the sea with terraces and balconies, whether it is a bedroom or a single space.
The element of stone in the retaining walls between the houses, combined with wood, give a more natural effect in order to fit in the location. Plants and stone are everywhere. Around the buildings, pool areas are created that act as a gathering point for friends and family. Each villa is autonomous and has access always from the front, where the parking space is.
The complex of these villas creates a beautiful community, suitable for families who want a calm and friendly place to live close by, but each in their own private space. The layout of the compound creates a sense of community and safety.
